Summer Application Process

Whether you're here for one session or several, Housing & Dining Services has accommodations and meal plans to help make your summer studies as seamless as possible. We offer residence hall housing during Maymester and all summer sessions (excluding Augmester) to students enrolled in classes. If you have questions about the summer applications process, please contact us at or 303-492-6673.


To live in the residence halls, students must be:

  • Enrolled in regular CU Boulder summer school or Maymester OR
  • Be enrolled in three (6) or more credits in the Division of Continuing Education

If you are visiting faculty or staff, or participating in a summer internship, other housing options may be available. Please contact CU Conference Services for additional information.

  • Notices:
    • Maymester housing does not include meal plans
    • Housing assignments are made on a first-come, first assigned basis based on the date/time of the completed application (when the deposit is completed)
    • Summer accommodation includes roommate (only one roommate) and community bath/room type located in Willard Hall. 
    • Students may only apply to live on campus for the specific time periods they will be taking classes
    • We do not guarantee assignment to any particular program/building, type of accommodation or with a specific roommate
    • The housing application includes a $300 non-refundable security deposit
    • Parking permits are available through Parking & Transportation Services. If only short-term parking is needed, metered and payment machine lots are located around campus as well as pay-by-phone through Parkmobile. You can review the parking map for lot information

* New freshmen students may live with us during the summer but it is not required and does not count towards the freshman live-in requirement. If you are a freshman admitted for summer 2019 and will be living on-campus in the fall, we suggest submitting both your summer and fall applications at the same time.

Occupancy Dates and Rates

Residents during Maymester can purchase a 25 block meal plan. Traditional meal plans are not available to Maymester residents. Residents during terms A, B, C, and D are required to carry a meal plan. The prices below reflect this information.
